Hello and welcome to the MXit Daxtop blog and development space!
For anyone who was wondering about the topic of this post – no this isn’t about a Star Wars episode… This is my first entry on the home of a new computer client for MXit. I wasn’t the greatest fan of the flash embedded client for the PC and decided to write my own.
The aims for MXit Daxtop are for a lightweight, fully “MXit” featured and simplistic chat client; keeping what is fundamentally required from an instant messenger the key principle. But also cross platform, so you can be chatting on your mac or your pc with the same application files.
Shortly there should be a .jar lib up for your own usage that you can write your own client in a few minutes, and hopefully thorough documentation on it too. The Daxtop client will be up as well, so keep a look out. I will keep up to date with changes on here for now…
