After much time spent trying to get my client to login I have not succeeded, this is due to the ISA proxy my varsity is running. I only have access through this proxy to the web and I managed to getPID and challenge requests done. However when it come to logging in the proxy always returns that the MXiT server is non responsive.
It is due to this problem that I find myself running out of time for a solution. Next week I have tests everyday and that means it will be another week of not being able to code. That leaves me only one week to try get something done before the competition closes.
The chances are that I will not be able to finish this client and it is in such an early stage that even if login succeeds it leaves me with a client that does very little. So I will probably be ending this expedition now. I will still submit my source code, as I think MXiT could benefit from my GUI and some functions I have added.
I might continue to create this client over time when I do not have annoying proxies and problems in my way.

I finally got over the issue I was having with my captcha so I can now really get into the main program. I have written the login procedures and registration procedures, however I am now capped so I can’t test them. Maybe all this bad luck is karma telling me to do my calculus instead
.
So while I wait for the end of the month to come I have done some graphics works for my GUI and I will probably start writing the methods for contact handling and messenging. I might also start with all the error handling code that needs to be put in place.
My time is sparse so I will just have to see how long I can work at night without oversleeping the next day.

I started my client when the Comp opened but I have now reached a stage where I am battling to handle the captcha image. So I moved onto GUI design while I turn to help for the captcha. I have created the Login GUI and half of the Main contact page GUI. I must say even I was impressed by it.
Once the GUI is complete I will probably continue with other aspects of the API, ie: Login, contact handling and hopefully by then I would have solved the Captcha problem.
I am not sure if I will make the deadline as I am currently studying Electronic and Computer Engineering and this doesn’t leave me with much time to work on my client.
Hopefully I will make it though.
Till Later
